Whistler is home to world-class ski resorts, hotels and restaurants, but did you know it is also home to the coldest vodka room in the World!
Located in Bearfoot Bistro right in the village, the Belvedere Ice Room is a freezing -32 degrees and has more than 50 vodkas from across the globe inside the walls made of ice. Right before you walk into the ice room, you put on warm Canada Goose, Artic-ready parkas.
As you walk into the 20 person ice room, the ice walls light up from the inside and your experience begins. A friendly vodka expert leads the way, telling stories of all the different vodkas, where they come from, and special facts about them. Then, it is up to you to decide which 4 you would like to taste.
Here is what we had:
Keep in mind that because of the extreme cold inside the vodka room, the alcohol burn from the vodka itself is minimal. The flavours of the vodka itself are enhanced due to the extreme cold, leaving you with a delicious, crisp, cold and refreshing shot of vodka.
The experience was truly remarkable and I recommend it if you are looking for something fun and exciting to do in Whistler! Visit Bearfoot Bistro and warm up in the Belvedere Ice Room. Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis and typically spots are given to guests in the restaurant. Did you know vodka is the perfect palate cleanser in between courses?
*Thanks to Bearfoot Bistro for providing an opportunity to visit the Vodka room
