Edible Canada is a Bistro and artisan food retail store in the heart of Granville Island in Vancouver. Most people don’t know this, but the restaurant is also home to a very unique custom demo kitchen equipped with cameras and TV screens. Throughout the year, Edible Canada will host top guest chefs from across the province for Guest Chef Market Dinners to cook live in front of 24 guests, who will enjoy multi-course seasonal dinners paired with rare Canadian wine, beer and spirits.
I recently attended a special Market dinner with Pastry Chef Charles Massion of the River Rock Casino.

1) Oceanwise Prawn&Scallop Ceviche paired with Bella Sparkling Gamay Noir 2012
2) BC Golden&Red Beet Salad, Okanagan Goat Cheese and roasted walnuts paired with Le Vieux Pin Sauvignon Blanc 2011
3)Beef Wellington, parsnip puree, red wine jus, mushrooms and pearl onions paired with Bartier Bros Merlot 2011
4)Crepes Suzette and homemade vanilla icecream paired with Hester Creek Late Harvest Pinot Blanc 2010
5)Curve Lounge Chocolate Bar with crunchy nutella base, caramelized banana, chocolate mousse and passion fruit foam paired with Pentage Port in a Storm
Be sure to get your tickets soon to upcoming Guest Chef Market Dinners. Each dinner is $80 per person and takes place from 7-10pm. Tickets to each dinner are limited as there is only space for 24 people.
