VAN DOREN CHAN
Van Doren Chan is a sommelier and restaurateur. She was the co-founder Commercial Drive’s Ugly Dumpling before launching Dumpling in a Box in 2019. A veteran of the restaurant industry with a resume that includes many of British Columbia’s finest such as Sooke Harbour House, Blue Water Café, Four Seasons Hotel, Hawksworth and Le Crocodile.
Recently, Van Doren has been splitting her time between Vancouver and the Okanagan as she pursues her winemaking education and interests, via correspondence at UC Davis and personal project collaborations with local wine producers.
