About WINERY:
Averill Creek was founded by former MD and wine educator Andy Johnston, whose passion for winemaking led him from Edmonton to vineyards around the world, before establishing Averill Creek Vineyard in the Somenos region of Cowichan Valley.
Averill Creek Vineyard wines are conceived in the vineyard, captured in the cellar and hopefully speak loudly in the glass. We like to call them neoclassical meaning they respect the traditional, old world ethos and honesty like they did 1000 years ago. But we are using modern practices to make them a little more responsibly.
